Our Mission

Connecting Utah to the soul of Mexico

MLIU is Utah's most established Mexican cultural nonprofit, operating since 2003 in official partnership with the Mexican Consulate of Salt Lake City. We produce 40+ annual cultural events that serve 25,000 Utahns — bringing world-class artists, musicians, filmmakers, and scholars to stages across the state.

From the Mariachi Festival at Eccles Theatre to FILMexico at The Leonardo Museum to the Guelaguetza cultural celebration — we build bridges between communities, generations, and nations.
